Moreton Bay Regional Council
In May, 2023, Moreton Bay Regional Council awarded us with a $13,473 Facilities Grant to install an automated irrigation system across the garden.
In June, 2023: Moreton Bay Regional Council awarded us with a $2,997 Communities Grant for garden equipment and marketing support.
Thank you to the staff at MBRC who are supporting us with our vision over here at the community garden at Millen Farm!
Community Bank Samford
In June, 2023, Community Bank Samford awarded us with a $10,000 grant to help us with the set up costs to establish the community garden. Thank you to Mandy, MaryAnne and the team!

New Day Psychology
New Day Psychology is based in Camp Mountain. Denise Robertson is a clinical psychologist, with a love of the environment. She has a thriving edible garden of her own, and shares her property with her family, rescue goats, 23 chooks, dog, pussy cats, wallabies bandicoots, birdlife, reptiles and frogs!
Ross, Steve and the team at Samford Garage are a one stop local shop for car servicing, mechanical repairs, tyres, wheels and batteries. Thank you for giving us a hand here at the Community Garden!

Growing Made Simple
Susanne Engelhard is the Director of Growing Made Simple which is all about making it easy for families to grow home-grown food, and to connect children with how real food is grown. You can join their workshops and events which are held at Millen Farm.
Susanne contributes her professional time to write grant submissions, find sponsors and supporters, and manage the administration of the community garden. In the last two years, she has submitted 10 grant applications (for two different locations), and been successful in securing $26,444 in grants, and $1000 in sponsorship and support, and raised $3698 in donations for our new location of the community garden at Millen Farm.
Samford Variety Store
Leilani from Samford Variety Store & newsagency on Main Street in Samford, is a great supporter of community initiatives like ours. We thank her and her team for their one off donation of $100 which we will use toward a First Aid Kit for the garden.
Adorn Block Creations
Gavin from Adorn Block Creations, is a local landscaper specialising in acreage landscaping and garden maintenance in Samford, Dayboro and surrounding North Brisbane areas.
Gavin donated his time and machinery on a sunny Saturday in July, to create our mandala garden for us. He saved us many hours of digging by hand and we are very grateful.
